Theoretical training takes place in the premises of the main campus and other educational buildings.
Classrooms and lecture halls are equipped with Wi-Fi, modern video systems, computers, and multimedia equipment. The university creates all the necessary conditions for training medical specialists of the European level.
The Simulation Center of the University of Medicine and Social Sciences is a place where theory meets practice. We are proud of our simulation center, which meets international standards and provides students with the best learning conditions. Equipped with the most modern simulators and medical equipment, it helps higher education students hone their skills in conditions as close to real-life as possible: working with patient simulators, performing complex medical procedures, and learning to make the right decisions in stressful situations.
In addition, students of different specialties have the opportunity to learn to work in a team, which contributes to the development of interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange of experience. Our graduates are ready for any challenges they may face in their professional careers, as they have the honed skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality medical care.
Practical training of the University ‘s applicants is conducted at clinical bases belonging to the leading medical and preventive and scientific research institutions of Kharkiv and in inpatient hospitals, where applicants have the opportunity to examine patients and practice using diagnostic equipment. Bedside training in the wards is conducted in compliance with professional ethical standards under the guidance of an experienced physician working at UMSS. No more than two candidates can work with one patient at a time.
During classes, students master clinical work skills, conduct clinical examinations, interview patients, become familiar with medical documentation and the rules for filling it out, and master working with modern medical equipment. All clinical work is carried out in accordance with medical care standards.
